Dear First Family,
The Advent season is officially underway!
This past Sunday, we began our journey of anticipation and celebration, and I can assure you, after reviewing the worship plans for December, there isn’t a single Sunday you’ll want to miss.
Each week of Advent, we’ll reflect on the traditional themes leading us toward Christmas:
These services will include beautiful worship music, and sermons focused on the story of Christ’s birth.
Our Advent journey will culminate in our Christmas Eve services, titled Carols and Candlelight. We’ll gather at 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM for a meaningful time of worship, concluding with a candlelit singing of Silent Night. This cherished tradition is such a special way to honor the gift of Jesus together.
We’re also thrilled about our Christmas Concert on December 16th. This sold-out event will feature incredible guest artists, including one of our own children’s choir members, and a collaboration with a local high school drumline. The concert will include a gospel presentation and an invitation, making it a powerful opportunity for worship and outreach.
God has prepared us for an extraordinary Christmas season at First Baptist. I hope you will join us each week as we celebrate the hope, peace, joy, and love of Christ.
Merry Christmas,
Pastor Robert Stephens
