First Family,
During my sermon last Sunday, I spoke about a section of Matthew 26 that highlights how Jesus dealt with a heavy burden. We delved into the way he handled the pressure at Gethsemane and drew some parallels to our own lives. Personally, it was a powerful and uplifting moment of worship, and I hope it was the same for you.
Many people today are facing mental health challenges, which some have deemed as a crisis. Unfortunately, churches have often struggled to address mental health issues in their communities. However, here at FBCA, we are committed to being different. We understand the importance of mental health and are dedicated to supporting and assisting those in need within our community. Your mental health is part of your walk with Jesus (Luke 10:27; Matthew 22:36–40; Mark 12:28–31), and we stand ready to provide the Biblical support needed.
We are available to offer pastoral counseling. Additionally, we have an in-house counseling ministry that provides licensed counselors who base their practice on Biblical principles. You can receive the support you need by engaging with a licensed counselor within the familiar and comfortable environment of your church. We are able to financially support your counseling as a way to invest in your spiritual growth, thanks to the generosity of our church.
The practice of professional counseling in conjunction with prayer and time in the Word can be the perfect combination to help you understand your situation and step into the life that Jesus has given you.
The Apostle Paul taught us this in 1 Corinthians 12:26 -27, “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now, you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”
Servant for His Glory,
Pastor Robert
