Join us for a week of adventure in July at Illumination Station, the brightest week of the year!
This summer, we are combining VBS and Music Camp into one thrilling, gospel-centered week, with our traditional VBS in the morning and preparation for the Illumination Station musical (to be presented on Friday) and other fun during afternoon Music Camp.
Vacation Bible School begins with an exciting Opening Rally in the Sanctuary. Afterwards, it's off to base rooms for small group Bible studies, then rotations through crafts, recreation, and music stations which remind us of each day's big Bible idea. Kids who have just completed 1st through 6th grade are invited to stay longer and to go deeper for an afternoon full of more excitement at Music Camp!
As they experience fun and meaningful learning activities, kids will be challenged to recognize and respond to the light of Jesus.

Our amazing volunteers are the key to a successful VBS!
FAQs:
- Who can volunteer? Members and attendees of FBCA, as well as followers of Christ from other churches, are welcome to register to indicate interest in volunteering. We will be in touch regarding available positions. Youth positions are limited to FBCA youth only.
- What is the time commitment? This will largely depend on the role that each volunteer fills. Plan to attend the Kick-Off Celebration on May 31 to learn more and new volunteers are encouraged to attend VBS 101 training on June 14. Teaching teams also have the opportunity to meet on campus June 14 and June 27 to devote time to preparation. Plan to set up your space on the Sunday before VBS begins and then be at FBCA Monday through Friday, 9am-12:30pm, 12pm-4pm, or 9am-4pm.
- How do I know what to do? If you are new to VBS and Music Camp at FBCA, we will provide information at our Kick-Off Celebration, at VBS 101, and we will pair you with at least one experienced volunteer. As part of our curriculum, we provide lesson plans and teaching materials to teaching team members. Our staff is also happy to assist you!
- If I volunteer can my children come with me? Yes. Classes for volunteer children of all ages are offered during the morning session from 9am-12:30pm. Child care is NOT offered for preschool- or kindergarten-aged children during the afternoon session (12:30pm-4pm).
