A 10-Year Strategic Focus for FBCA
It is said of God in 1 Timothy 2:4 that He "wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
Ten years from now, the CHURCH will celebrate its 2,000-year anniversary. 2,000 years ago, Jesus commissioned the Believers to make disciples of all nations. Now, with the 2,000th anniversary of the Great Commission in sight in AD 2033, First Baptist Church is focusing on God's desire for all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
As a church, we exist to help one another find and follow Jesus so that one day we will witness a multitude of people from every nation, tribe, and language uniting in the worship of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Through a season of prayer, we have re-envisioned what the church would look like if the gospel of Jesus became the bedrock and driver of all our activities. We have begun to dream of what a church could become if every one of its participants learned to plunge into the depth of the gospel personally and then live out the gospel intentionally.
By 2033, We Will Seek to Accomplish These Goals
1. There will be at least 1,000 people actively involved in discipleship groups.
2. We will give away around $15,000,000 over the next ten years to share the Gospel.
3. We will plant two new churches right here in our community.
4. We will pray for the salvation of all 71,000 homes by name within the City of Alexandria.
5. We will take responsibility for an unreached people group within the world and see that they have a copy of God's word in their language.
6. We will have 5 of our people serving as global missionaries around the world.
7. More than 700 people will come to Christ and be baptized through God's work at FBCA in the next ten years.
8. We will invite more than 500 unbelievers into our homes each month with the hope of giving them a glimpse of God's love for them.
To Accomplish These Goals, We Will Have The
Following Guiding Principles
We Invest in People......We're here to invest in people of all ages, help them come to know Jesus, grow them spiritually, help them become whom God has created them to be - and send them out to do more of the same. Our priority is to find people who are far from God, do life with them, share the Gospel, and let Jesus change their life. Our relentless pursuit of those far from God is why we live intentionally with them in mind.
We Choose Generosity.....When it comes to our relationships, our finances, and our careers, we're not afraid to put aside preferences and our comfort to pursue what matters most to God. That's why we're generous with our talent and our resources - even when it means sacrifice.
We Will Say No.....There are many good things that the CHURCH can do, but there is only one thing that the church must do. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE GOSPEL! Many great ideas and opportunities will arise over the next 10 years, but we will be focused on the Gospel like never before.
