Celebrate the Sunday: A Joyful Step Forward in Worship

This past Sunday was a beautiful day in the life of our church family. With hearts full of gratitude, we celebrate the overwhelming affirmative vote to call Dylan Reese as our next Pastor for Music and Worship. What a testimony to God’s faithfulness and the unity of His people!

As I think back on this moment, I do so with deep thanksgiving. The Lord has guided every step of this process, from prayerful discernment of the search team to joyful affirmation from the congregation. Dylan and his wife, Bethany, bring with them a love for Christ, a passion for worship, and a heart for God’s people. Together, they will help us continue to lift high the name of Jesus in all we do.

As the Reese family prepares to relocate and settle into life here in Alexandria, let’s surround them with our prayers. Uprooting and beginning a new season is both exciting and stretching.

Let’s pray for:

• Peace as they pack, travel, and adjust to new surroundings.
• Joy in the transition, as they build new friendships and rhythms of life.
• Anointing over Dylan’s leadership, that the Spirit of God would fill and guide him as he shepherds our worship ministry.

Let’s celebrate what He has done, thank Him for what He is doing, and trust Him for what He will do next.
